"Gia, next time we do this? We're getting a stop-over."
Elle says this from her spot on the floor at baggage claim, trying to sit somewhere out of the way so she can stretch her leg with minimal fuss. As much as she loved straight shot flights? And as much as she deeply enjoyed flying first class with her sister and watching movies when they weren't sleeping or giggling about whatever, her knee was protesting not having room to get up and move.
Or many opportunities to, due to turbulence.
Stretching and trying to reach her toes, she groans some and sighs as her phone buzzes.
"That's probably Mrs Murphy letting us know how soon she and Clancy are arriving," Elle states, grinning just a bit and looking up at Gia. She and her sister were here for a car interview with Shea, the whole plan being he drives them around town, asking questions and finding a place to eat. When Mrs Murphy (who's known Shea since he was just starting to walk) found out about it, and knowing that her son and Elle have already been talking to each other for years already but haven't actually met face to face, she invited the girls to stay. The whole plan being they stay at the Murphy farm for a week before the interview, and a week after.
And Clancy, as far as anyone knew, had no actual clue about it.
So now, here the girls were in Ireland, on an adventure. Another buzz from her phone, the theme song for their dads channel playing and Elle reaches for her phone to pick it up and tell her dad they've arrived.
All while looking around for signs of Aoife and her son.
"See them yet? Also? Help me up. I can't do this myself, G," Elle says, still on the phone with her dad. "No, dad. I'm fine. Just...next time? A stop over somewhere so I can stretch."
